Our Mission

Our mission is simple:

"Love thy neighbor as yourself."

This command of Jesus is our guide and goal.

Through missions, local participation, and service to those in need, we will strive to do good in God's name for His glory.

Our Beliefs

We believe in salvation not through our own works, but by grace granted to us by the Father through the death, burial, and resurrection of His only begotten Son, our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. We believe baptism is an act of humble obedience by a believer for the receiving of the Holy Spirit, and the power to live a life of humility, love, and service according to Jesus' teachings.

Our History

According to records, Belen Christian Church has been an entity in the town of Belen since approximately 1906. Originally meeting in a saloon on Main Street, we have been at our present location since 1949. At 114 years old, we are one of the oldest churches in Belen (translated Bethlehem). Although never a large church, we have persevered and continued teaching solid Biblical precedence to our community.

Our Team

We are a non-denominational Christian Church affiliate, governed by a Bible-based and ruled board consisting of all church leadership positions. We carry a five member Deacon committee, a four member Elders board, and a Pastor.

Although our Pastor of sixteen years, Don DuBerry, has autonomy in the day-to-day running of the church, the Elders and Deacons provide spiritual and social guidelines and council on a larger scale.

Feets Of Faith: A Homeless Ministry

In line with Jesus's command to feed the hungry, Belen Christian Church provides basic foodstuffs to anyone that requests them. With helpful donations from congregation members and RRFS we are happy to serve Belen and surrounding areas.

Feets Of Faith: A Homeless Ministry

Over a two year period, one of our members and her husband have ministered to one of our most vulnerable populations, the homeless and transient, from Belen to Albuquerque. Packing food, water, and basic toiletries and clothing into easily distributable backpacks, over 1000 people have been given temporary comfort and a gospel to read.

As a non-denominational Christian Church affiliate, we make it a priority to work with other Gospel believers. Joseph's Closet in Los Lunas and Faith Comes BY Hearing are two of them. We also support Care-net, Ronald McDonald House, and Christian Church Starters as local missions. Our belief in the Bride of Christ as the Church, enables us to to, "love your neighbor as yourself."
